5.0 out of 5 stars My husband and I love this coffee maker, August 8, 2009

My husband and I have been using this coffee maker for over a year and a half and we love it!! We mostly use fresh coffee beans, so we use the coffee grinder feature a lot. When we cleaned it for the first time, it was easy to do and watch along with the 'How-To' DVD. If we had to list one complaint it would be that when you get to the bottom of the carafe and need to pour the coffee out, you literally have to turn the carafe upside down (twisting your arm a little). We don't think that this is a major drawback because on the flip side, this carafe keeps your coffee piping hot for hours!! We highly recommend this coffee maker to those that love freshly ground/brewed coffee. It's worth the investment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not For Everyone, But If Coffee Is Important, This Is Your Machine, March 17, 2010

We bought this coffee-maker a year ago, and it makes the best coffee that I've ever had from a home brewer. While it's true that the machine is a bit high maintenance, I find that, for the most part, it's pretty straight forward. The carafe, basket, filter and basket cover only need a rinsing, and the grinder needs a good brushing about once a week. I make regular and decaf every day so I own two hoppers one with decaf beans and one with regular beans and I just change out the hoppers so I don't have to deal with moving beans. If you are a serious coffee drinker, this is a good machine. If you want a straight up Mr. Coffee coffee-maker don't waste your money on this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible, October 26, 2009
This review is from: Cuisinart Fully Automatic Burr Grind & Brew ThermalTM 12 Cup Coffeemaker DGB900BCC (Kitchen)
This machine is such a pain! Sometimes it works... lots of times it doesn't. Cleaning the chute every 7 uses is a pain, filling the water reservoir is difficult, and the carafe spills every time you pour (bad design). The biggest problem is there is a top to the filter that spins to get in the right place for grinding or brewing and almost every other time i use it it doesn't line up right and i have to turn it off and on over and over again before it lines up and makes the coffee. Meanwhile, it has dripped all over and made a huge mess. I am going to try to get my money back.
